A minimum of 30 graduate credits are required for a master’s degree; 21 must be in the student’s major field unless a higher number is required by the student’s program. The grade-point average for the courses counted toward the degree must be 3. A minimum of one-half of the total required credits must be on a letter-graded basis. Credits transferred from another institution cannot be used to satisfy the university’s requirement for graded credits nor the course level requirement. Graduate courses which have been applied toward any baccalaureate or advanced degree may not be used for fulfilling requirements for any other master’s degree at the university. No foreign language is required by the Graduate School; however, some programs do require a language proficiency. Refer to the Graduate School Bulletin and program literature for foreign language requirements and the competency levels. Although the Graduate School does not require a general master’s examination, some programs do.
How Dating In Grad School Is Totally Different Than Dating In College

I went into my PhD program straight from undergrad. But most of my cohort did not. So they had a little more life experience than me. And with that life experience came relationships. This is probably an unpopular opinion but I enjoyed grad school way more than I did college. I appreciated the smaller class sizes, the more intensive research work I got to do, and the ability to work alongside professors I’d admired for years. After two years as a grad student, I learned that dating in grad school brought with it an entirely new rulebook I hadn’t read in college.

The Grad School Letter Arrives Now What? What do you do now? The first thing you need to know is that all graduate schools at least in the US subscribe to a national acceptance deadline of April In case that wasn’t clear, all grad schools agree to give you until April 15 to accept or deny their offer. Basically, this means that you can wait for all your grad schools to respond before making a decision.
If you don’t hear from one of your schools by, say, March 15, give that school a call — telephone rather than e-mail. The second thing you should know is that there are four results you can expect: 1 you are accepted with funding; 2 you are accepted without funding; 3 you are placed on a waiting list; or 4 you are rejected.
